          Holistic Leadership Development

          As a leading advocate of holistic leadership development, Malvern College Chengdu offers extensive opportunities, to develop pupils as multi-cultural, internationally minded future leaders.? A Malvern education is not just limited to the academic curriculum, out of class we offer extensive co-curricular opportunities for pupils to engage in new experiences in many different areas.

          The principles underlying the Co-curriculum are twofold:

          • To encourage students to engage in new experiences
          • To encourage a balance between creativity, action and service

          Each year, a student is expected to complete a minimum of 60 hours of co-curricular activities, distributed between creativity, action and service. The aims are to help students to develop:

          • A willingness to inquire and an enjoyment of discovery
          • Autonomy and self-reliance
          • An appreciation of their own and others’ talents
          • Knowledge, skills and understanding
          • An awareness of the wider community
